What impact do you hope to have on the world?
I want to impact my local community in a positive way, which is why I want to become a librarian. Nowadays libraries are less free bookstores and more community spaces. I want a career where I can help my community and the people who live in it. I want to be remembered as someone who helped their community be the best it could be.
I joined the Ohlinger Studios internship program in summer 2022, and I am enjoying working with my fellow interns, my co-workers, and OS clients.
I am a rising junior at the University of Louisville, where I am pursuing a major in Communication and a minor in Creative Writing. My work in school focuses on writing, social media, strategic communication, and mass media.
I consider myself to be a jack of all trades but have specific goals. I am passionate about childcare and have previously worked in the childcare sector. I am now developing career-ready skills that will help me realize my plan to be a librarian, specifically one who works with teenagers or children. I’m also interested in several related fields and careers, including publishing to event planning. I am excited to explore publishing and education through my time at Ohlinger, and I’m looking forward to assisting clients.
Outside of work and class, I love to spend my time writing, reading, and listening to music. I am also involved with my college’s theatre program and local theatres, where I do acting, tech, and even playwriting.
